How To Choose Safe Kids Trikes

Kids Trikes are a great first step towards your child’s first bicycle, and can give your child both a great sense of freedom and independence as well as teaching them good spatial relations and the merits of getting plenty of exercise. A trike will probably be the first time you have let your child out on any moving plaything by themselves and thus, as a parent, you are bound to be concerned about your child’s safety. if you are careful in your choosing of the trike, though, you should be completely comfortable in your choice and your child should be happy to ride around without a care in the world!

When it comes to choosing your trike you really have to think about everything that could offer a risk to your child. As a parent you should be used to thinking about such things as children are remarkably gifted in finding ways to injure themselves, naturally being more inquisitive than ourselves. How fast the trike is going and whether it is stable is only one tiny element you should be thinking about - although it is important.

Try to choose a trike that isn’t going to be too far off the ground for your child, as over-reaching for the pedals may make the trike less stable and more prone to tipping over or forward. There is nothing you can do to stop your child going as fast as they can, but if you get a product with wider, sturdier wheels you should find that the trike is far more steady no matter how fast they are going. Bear in mind that trikes are not really designed for breakneck speeds anyway!

Next look at the handlebars to see if there is any way for a child to injure themselves. Small gaps in the bars, or a very deep U shape to them may prove too tempting to put hands and legs into, which could then get stuck and cause injury. You should also look at where the handlebars attach to the trike itself and if they are likely to pinch fingers should they be placed there.

Look at the nuts and bolts which hold the trike together and avoid trikes where these stick out too far or look sharp. These are apt to scratch legs when pedalling and could cause injuries to children. Look for something where the bolts are covered with smooth material or are securely within the trike for the best peace of mind.

Stick to trikes with filled in pedals, as spokes can be very dangerous to friends and younger siblings. Children do tend to put their hands into anything that fits and if a child were to do this while another pedalled it could cause a bad injury. Spokes are also too easy to get wrapped up in clothing or shoelaces.

Advantages of Kids Trikes

There are so many great children’s toys on the market these days, making it almost impossible to decide what to buy your little one when Christmas and birthdays come around. One toy which is a lot of fun yet also contains a lot of other benefits as well is a kids trike. This article will reveal all the advantages associated with buying your child one of the many available kids trikes in stores today.

The first benefit mentioned is of course that a children’s trike is an awful lot of fun. Nowadays it is hard to find a toy which attracts a child’s attention as soon as they open it and also maintains their attention and interest for many months to come. Quite often, children open a gift and love it for five minutes, after then the novelty wears off. However, you do not have to worry about the latter happening if you buy a kids trike.

Another great thing about a trike is that they are a sociable toy. By this I mean it is something which your child can play with whilst playing with other children at the same time. This is good because it means your child will have the opportunity to make friends with other kids that live nearby. It is also good because your child will develop their social interaction skills and gain more confidence as they make more and more friends.

In addition to a trike being fun and sociable it is also good because it gives your child a sense of freedom and independence. As mentioned earlier, your child will grow in confidence as they make new friends. But your little one will also grow in confidence as he or she becomes better at riding their new favourite trike. This is great because it will give them the boost they need to try other new things and take on other challenges. As I am sure you are aware, it is important for kids to have confidence at a young age.

Finally, kids trikes are a great way of ensuring that your child gets some exercise. Through participating in active fun your child will be maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This is particularly important when you consider that the majority of other toys available on the market today revolve around children sitting around all day playing video games.

There are tons of different kids trikes available on the market; different sizes, different designs and different colours. This means that you are bound to find something that suits your little boy or girl. So you certainly do not need to worry about a lack of choice being a problem.

So there you have it; a kid’s trike is certainly one of the best toys on the market. Not only are they a whole host of fun, but the advantages they possess aside of this are there for all to see.

The Benefits of Buying One of the Many Childrens Trikes Available on the Market Today

The key to a great children’s toy is one which is great fun for them but is also safe and provides some educational benefits too. One which ticks of all of these boxes is a kid’s trike.

Childrens trikes provide endless hours of fun for your little tot, but at the same time they also help them to develop some key skills. This article will reveal why all children should have a trike in their young years.

First and foremost, the most obvious reason is of course that they provide great amounts of fun. What is particularly great about a trike is that it is something which your child is not likely to grow bored of. Nowadays, a lot of toys maintain a child’s interest for a mere five minutes and then they simply no longer care for them. However, your child is likely to love their trike just as much six months down the line as they did the day they received it.

In addition to being fun, trikes are also great because they provide your child with a sense of independence. Children love to feel as if they can do things on their own. By riding a trike they will feel free and this will also have some beneficial knock on effects too. For instance, as they get better on their trike they will grow more and more in confidence. These attributes will bode your child well later in life because the more confident and independent one is - the better they act in social situations, and thus you give them a great platform for when it comes to starting school. In fact, a lot of children have trikes nowadays and thus your child will be able to play with the other kids that live nearby. This also develops their social skills further and means that they are less likely to be shy around other young children.

Furthermore, trikes also help develop an additional key area of your child’s growth. In addition to independence and confidence, your child will also increase their balance and coordination skills. This is of course something which is essential to learn whilst growing up, and what better way to do so then by having fun in the process?

A final point worth considering is that a children’s trike is a great way of ensuring that your little one gets some form of exercise.  Of course it is vitally important to stay healthy. Yet this is becoming increasingly harder when you consider that new technologies and toys, such as video games, generally revolve around sitting down all day. Tricycles ensure that your child partakes in some form of physical activity. And what’s great is that it won’t feel like a chore for them because they will be enjoying it.

All in all, it is not hard to see why childrens trikes have been a popular and well loved toy for many years now.

Smart Trike – Dolphin

For your child’s first experience of a bike, nothing could be better or simpler than the Smart Trike in Dolphin blue for a really fun and trendy item which looks great and is easy to use.

The Smart Trike is a multi-use ride-on tricycle which can be controlled by the child or by you depending on the age of the child and their needs. For really small children, the Smart Trike has a telescopic handle which allows you to steer the tricycle with ease. It also has a footrest for your child to put their feet on when they are not driving the trike themselves, as well as a high backed seat with a harness for complete safety. For comfort in the sun, the Smart Trike has a removable canopy which will keep your child cool and out of the sun, as well as a bucket in the back where you can keep a drink and snacks, or even your child’s favourite toy, so you’ll know they will always enjoy days out with their trike. Not only this, but the Smart Trike also has a storage bag included which matches the canopy for style and means you can have your hands free for steering, and a small toy telephone to keep your little one amused even when they are not pedalling for themselves!

Smart Trike – Dolphin

The Smart Trike comes in a bright and cheerful Dolphin blue which adds a really fun feel to it and makes it look as modern and funky as possible, as well as making it easy to spot when your child is big enough to use the tricycle on their own and wants to ride off around the local park or street! For kids who are big enough to use the trike on their own, the Smart Trike comes with non slip pedals for easy pedalling, and the long backed harness can be removed and replaced with a lower seat with a seatbelt which will still keep your child secure inside the trike. The handlebar can be easily removed for your child to take off on their own, but can also be easily replaced if they get tired and need a push home!

You can enjoy great days out with the smallest children with the Smart Trike. It is suitable for babies of a year old plus, and will be comfortable and fun even if they are not steering themselves. The pedals needn’t get in the way when you are steering, as the child can rest their feet on the provided footrest, which can then be removed when they want to pedal themselves around. When you want to let them off the handlebar to go and explore on their own, the wheels are made from rubber and have a secure foot brake system to guarantee that they stay safe and find the trike easy to ride around on their own.
