Girls Trikes

For little girls who are too old for a pushchair but still not quite ready to walk everywhere unaided, the next step is a trike. Girls trikes can give your child a little bit more independence than a pushchair, as they have the option to drive themselves around when you are out for the day. Trikes for younger children have the added option of an adult-friendly handlebar so that if your child gets tired whilst they are out you’ll be able to push them safely just as though they were in their pram, whilst they can still enjoy the novel experience of the trike.

Trikes are also great for helping younger children develop their spatial relations, learning to steer and pedal at the same time, as well as building up their strength until they are able to move around happily on their own for the remainder of the day.On top of all of this, trikes are a lot of fun to use and you may find that your child gets less frustrated and fussy than if they were in their pushchair, making for an easier and more exciting day for both of you.

There are plenty of trikes on the market, but there are some which offer more comfort, safety and fun than others. The Raleigh Buggy Girls Trike in pink and black is a stylish looking trike which offers both child powered and parent powered options to ensure you have the best day out. The trike has a standard steering system for your child, with easy to reach pedals and a cute pink and silver handlebar that she should be able to move easily. The trike comes with a bucket in the back which your child can store her favourite toys, or drinks and snacks for the day, and a comfortable, high backed seat to keep her secure. For parents’ own peace of mind, the trike also comes with a full surround to keep your child firmly in place, but allow them to pedal easily, and an adjustable directional handlebar which will make it easy to push your child when they get tired.

A simpler trike which little girls will adore is the Raleigh Molly Girls Pink Trike which comes in a sweet pink and white colour scheme and has pretty girly graphics throughout that will appeal to both adults and children. A smaller trike, this trike is suitable for girls aged 18 months up, has a comfortable bucket seat which will keep little girls secure all day, and a bucket between the rear wheels for keeping toys and games for the rest of the day. The trike also has a freewheel function, and a parent guided handlebar which will allow you to keep firm hold of your child as they learn to ride their new trike!
