Smoby Kids Trikes

Trikes are the perfect ride on item for children who are not old enough yet to start with their first bike but still want their own mode of transport for fun days out in the park. When older siblings have bikes, skateboards or rollerblades, younger children may feel jealous that they are not able to head off on their own as well, and a trike is small enough to be carried around and safe enough for your child to ride on their own without you needing to worry that they may hurt themselves.

Where a trike is different from a bike is in the fact that is has three wheels and a much sturdier design than a bike. Even a small bike with stabilisers tends to be somewhat more unstable than a trike, so for very young children a trike really is the best option. They often come with a parent handle so can be pushed around when little legs have has enough of pedalling, and will still get to high enough speeds that more adventurous children will feel they have control over where they go and how fast they get there!

Smoby have a great range of kids trikes which will be perfect for kids of all ages and levels of confidence. You could choose the Smoby Be Fun Trike, which is a sturdy trike perfect for very small children. It comes with a parent handle on the back, as do most Smoby Kids Trikes, which will allow you to take the lead in pushing your child when they get tired of pedalling, or when they are tired of their pushchair and want a more fun way to get around town. You can be sure your child won’t whinge about trips to the shops if you roll them along on the Smoby Be Fun Trike, which also has a great seatbelt which keeps your child firmly in place no matter how fast you go! The trike also comes with a handy tray on the back which can be used to keep things for the journey, snacks and drinks, or even a favourite toy.

A more exciting version is the Simba Smoby Be Fun Comfort Trike which is more like a first bike for kids who want something a bit more grown up. It still has the parent handle so you can push them around, but looks more like a bike, with a bucket seat to keep your child firmly in place and comfortable and easy to grip handlebars for when they want to head out on their own! With a tray similar to the Be Fun Trike in the back, the Comfort Trike also has a handy bag on the parent handlebar so that you can keep your belongings with you as well, without having to carry an extra bag.
