Smoby Trikes

If you have a younger child that is starting to get active on their own but still isn’t ready for a full sized bike, then a trike may be the way to go. Particularly if they have older siblings, children can get frustrated by being left behind when their friends or siblings are riding around the garden or local park, and want a mode of transport of their own. Although you may want them to have this you will want to be sure they are safe, and a trike is probably the best option at this stage.

Trikes are great for younger children as they have three sturdy wheels and are much more secure than any other type of bike. The trike will usually be wider and thus more secure, as well as having additional safety features such as a secure seatbelt, bucket seats and even a parent-handle so that you can push or pull them along when little legs get tired. Choosing a trike for a child that has just outgrown their pushchair is the best option to make sure they don’t get too tired out and about, and also still feel like they’re having a good time and being allowed to head out on their own, to explore the world around them.

Smoby have a great range of trikes which will be perfect for kids of all ages and levels of confidence. Even better, one of the things you get from a trike that you might not be able to experience with a bike, is a range that includes themed and designed trikes with children in mind. If you can pick up a trike that you know your child will love the look of and be proud of, then you know you are onto a winner and that your child will want to be out and about on their trike as much as possible.

Smoby trikes have plenty of different designs, one of the best being the Princess Be Fun, which is a Disney Princess themed trike which will thrill little girls time and time again! The trike has all the great features of a standard Smoby trike, such as a seatbelt, parent handle and storage bucket on the back, but also features the images of all the favourite Disney princesses, and a bright and appealing pink colour scheme that little girls will love.

Another great, bright trike is the Mickey Club House Be Fun which has plenty of Mickey Mouse detailing, including ears at the front by the handlebars to make this trike really stand out from a crowd. It has a primary colour scheme which is eye catching and cheerful, as well as plenty of graphics featuring Mickey and friends, to enthrall young children.

Whichever trike you choose, make sure you have all the accompaniments to make your child’s first trike a positive experience, so when the time comes they will be thrilled to take the next step with their first bike.
